DECIDED TO STOP SMOKING?

Wondering which stop smoking treatment can help you?

Read about some of the different Stop Smoking Treatments and programs here

ARTICLE:

There are a number of stop smoking treatments and programs to help you in your decision to quit.  If you have already tried to quit and failed using one particular method, then perhaps that one didn't suit you.    This doesn't mean you should give up!

WHY QUIT:

All smokers and ex-smokers understand how difficult it is to successfully quit.  Some try for many years on and off until they find a method that works for them.  The important thing to remember is to NEVER STOP TRYING!

In today's society, smokers tend to be shunned.  More and more laws are being implemented around the world to ban smoking in public places.  There has even been talk of banning people from smoking in their own homes if there are children living there.

All the laws are designed to protect us from the health risks associated with smoking and passive smoking.  These laws are welcomed by most of the (non-smoking) population, indeed, the only people who tend to find any difficulty with them are the smokers themselves.  Smoking is now banned in the workplace, schools, hospitals, restaurants, pubs, bars, hotels, sporting events, theatres, aeroplanes, trains, buses, taxis or within a specified number of metres from a business/shop entrance in many countries.  Smokers are fast becoming a minority group.

Smokers have nowhere to go to socialise.  It seems they must either stop smoking or be relegated to the back alleys and streets to have a smoke.  Many smokers feel discriminated against.  Often this gives rise to a feeling of rebellion, of wanting to smoke just to spite pubic opinion.  Others feel guilty and bad because they are 'hooked' on smoking and can't give it up even though they have tried and tried.
